BILL ANDERSON

A NIGHT WITH THE LEGEND

COME AND ENJOY GRAND OLE` OPRY MUSIC!

MARCH 27, 2010 - 8:00 PM

AT THE SKY CENTRE

Bill Anderson has been one the top songwriters in country music ever since he wrote his first #1 hit, "City Lights," at the age of nineteen.

He has been a major recording artist for a half-century, selling millions of records worldwide on his way to earning membership in the Country Music Hall of Fame.  Now, for the first time, this award-winning superstar writer/performer is showcasing both sides of his undeniable talent in "A Night With a Legend,"  a live, two-hour concert now touring across the US and Canada.

It`s a full-band show with an acoustical sound and feel...a warm, intimate look at both Bill Anderson, the songwriter, and Bill Anderson, the song-stylist and consummate performer.

The first half of the show is relaxed and casual, taking the audience on a trip down Nashville`s fames Music Row where Anderson sings and tells stories behind the creation of such country classics as "Tips of My Fingers,"  "Saginaw, Michigan," "Once a Day," "The Lord Knows I`m Drinking," and the aforementioned "City Lights."  He moves onto the current country scene showcasing such recent compositions as "Give it Away" and "Whiskey Lullaby," both voted CMA Song of the Year, and other chart-toppers like, "I`ll Wait Here for You," "Two Teardrops," " A Lot of Things Different," and "Wish You Were Here."

Following a brief intermission, Anderson returns to the stage in full rhinestoned costume and offers the crowd a rousing Saturday night visit to the Grand Ole Opry, where he has been a member since 1961.  He sings such signature hits as "Still," "Po` Folks," "I Love You Drops," "Wild Weekend" and others.  He pauses for a personal Q & A session with audience members and then wraps up each show by fulfilling requests.  Now two shows are alike, but each one is warm, humorous, nostalgic, and toe-tappin` good.
